tribe of ancient stones
territory
rules
The rules of the Tribe of Ancient Stones are relatively simple and logical - however, breaks of these rules will mean in-character punishment.
traditions
The Tribe of Ancient Stones follows a mixture of traditions from Egyptian and tribal culture.
MUMMIFICATION
The death of a tribe member or otherwise respected creature will undergo the process of mummification. The organs are removed from the body excluding the heart, and bodies are wrapped in large leaves and vines found in the jungle. Herbs can be used for both decoration and to mask the scent of death, as well as preservation. Pharaohs and Heirs are buried with expensive objects and trinkets.
SACRIFICES
Servants, prisoners of war, criminals, and occasionally other members are sacrificed as an offering to the Gods. Often, personal slaves will be sacrificed along with their masters to join them in the afterlife. The Pharaohs also resort to cannibalism as a way to "gain power" from their Gods.
HARVESTS AND FESTIVALS
When good things come to Tribe, such as winning in tournaments or battles or having a successful raid, often harvests will be held to celebrate. Feasts, activities, and other events are usually held. Festivals can occur during special holidays or seasons.

territory
The Tribe's home is within a courtyard of old Mayan-like temples adorned with ancient motifs on the outside and laced with intruding vines. The temples are decrepit in some areas, but still sturdy enough to take safe refuge in.
There are three living structures: one for the the nursery and elders (the East Temple), one for the regular citizens (West Temple), and the largest for the pharaohs and other selected HPs (the North Temple which stretches higher than the others, into the sky). Inside of all of the temples are old carvings and murals built into the walls along with many corridors, small rooms, columns, windows, and patches of light that peak from ruptures in the stone. During the night, old wooden beams that have been taken over by foxfire (bioluminescent fungus) and line the upper walls and sides of columns glow an eerie sea green to light blue. Vines have seeped into these structures too and large leaves as well as hay can be used to sleep on.
Inside the Pharaoh's temple, a huge, root heavy tree grows up into the skylight. A third structure sits in the middle of the yard with a primitive dried fountain in the center, possibly used by two-legs as a sacrifice area years before. Bordering the courtyard is an over grown garden which leaps the crumbled walls. This bright garden stretches into the surrounding jungle from all sides.
Pit Arena ● This arena is found near the back of the ruins and temples. It is where mass battles are done and also executions and tortures. But instead of the arena being built up as most seem to be it was built down into the ground with only the Tribe members knowing the entrances in or out. The center of the arena is a pit and covered with sand to reduce traction and make fighting more fun for the anti group. Circular in shape there are also chairs for those to sit upon from above to look down upon the entertainment.[
Tigris River ● This is the largest river and the third water source of the Tribe. It moves rather quickly hence its namesake and tends to flood once out of the year. This river is not prime fishing for it moves much too fast for anyone to catch anything within its waters. But the two other rivers that converge to make Tigris River are ample fishing grounds.
Sinksand Grounds ● There is a stretch of land not far from the Pit Arena that is flat and appears to be stable. It has trees ad the like but for the most part it is barren and consists of sand. DO NOT let this place fool you at all. This is dangerous quick sand and if any wander upon it, too far out to grab for a life line they are done. They will sink to their deaths.
Guarding Stones ● No one knows why but there are eight stones standing in a Circle on the other side of the Tigris River. They are like large pillars each with faces carved into them. Four are looking out of the circle while the remaining four are looking in. Some even say spirits roam the grounds around these Guarding Stones.
Grim's Oasis ● Because of the rushing water of Tigris River there is a drop off further down north into a basin of water where it never seems to drain out. It is a sight to see the water thundering down the massive bowl and pawsteps have worn a faint path down to the waters edge. But be careful one slip and you might not come back out again.
The Territory ●
After leaving the cold snow capped mountain ranges the tribe have come to the ancient and steamy jungles. They live within the thick foliage where sun bleeds through with a light green hue and nothing but animals can be heard for miles. The make their base camp within the old ancient Mayan ruins and temples. Thousands of different plant and animal species live here as well, proving to be both a danger and an asset to the tribe's inhabitants.[/spoiler]There are three living structures: one for the the nursery and elders (the East Temple), one for the regular citizens (West Temple), and the largest for the pharaohs and other selected HPs (the North Temple which stretches higher than the others, into the sky).
