APPEARANCES:
Harrier is a beautiful ruddy brown ticked tabby with soft fur and wave-like faded stripes; the fur and pelt gets darker the closer to her back it gets. There are interesting intricate white lace designs around her eyes, around her muzzle, and down her paws. Her eyes are a deep brown with the brightest spark of life, large and wide.
» Detailed:
"Young". An old friend had once described Harrierbeat as 'young'. Certainly, in size, she is actually rather tall; the fae standing straight at almost ten inches high, and head-to-tail twenty-nine inches. Her body is lithe, but strong, muscles powerful to climb trees, jump from branches, run in the sand, and even swim in the ocean. She didn't gain a large body base like her mother, and instead has a lithe form like Tigerroars; she'd look more fit if her fur weren't so fluffy - if her long tail weren't as thick and didn't flicker around her whole body like a large palm tree leaf.
Needless to say her long and tall form certainly doesn't look young, but rather it must have been something else. Her body adorns many scars beneath her pelt, but most aren't even noticeable. The dark red-brown fur instead protects others from viewing the marred sights, deeper tabby markings distracting the eyes from seeking deeper into her pelt with their intricate designs. Even if one were to try and dig deeper, even by accident during a grooming session, it's hard to get past the thick fur. While Harrierbeat does respect herself, she doesn't seem to exclude time from a busy scheduled to go out of her way to actually groom her pelt more than maybe twice a week - and that is mostly done to hush upset denmates. Even worse, it's hard to tell her exact pelt color; and no one is sure if that's because it's cleanliness varies, or if it's the lighting. The thick fur can be described like a sunset; from the brightest red hues with maroon tabby tints, or a deep messy brown like her fathers with dark mud stripes.
One thing interesting about this she-cat is that her claws are not unsheathed until final seconds before making a blow. She uses her tactical mind to determine how much force is needed, and if scratching up an opponent will be necessary. While her paws aren't large like a toms, long legs help her deliver the force needed to defend and protect.
The youngest part of Harrier's body adorns her face. While the whole head itself has been left unmarred thus far, the she-cats eyes are bright like a kits, yet are a window to a very wise and old soul. Large, wide optics like hers are very hard to describe; a base color of amber and honey, but with a mix of dark chocolate and hazel to give the whole pool of color a beautiful blend. They almost seem to change color, depending on her mood and the lighting. The most fascinating thing is that she always seems fascinated. No matter her anger, her fear, her sadness, or even her love with another near her, her eyes light up like she's watching one's soul unfold, analyzing everything.
Even though both eyes always seem bright and knowing, Harrierbeat does have a weakness that is well hidden; her left eye is damaged, and hardly sees anything at all.
PERSONALITY:
» Short:
A very passionate she-cat, driven to learn and teach. She's seen as hyperactive with a short attention span, though that's far from the truth. She easily learns things quickly, and picks up on a far faster process. She also doesn't like to be bored, so she preoccupies herself with observing and learning others around her, and quickly thinking of a way to make it teachable. This misleads others to think her eccentric, and maybe even a bit crazy.
» Detailed:
"Young body, old soul", those are the words that Harrierbeat had used to describe herself.
Harrierbeat is an extremist in every sense of the word. Even at a young age she has a strong sense of wonder, curiosity, thirst for knowledge, and kinship. She likes to tease playfully, and never really means much harm. She has a misunderstood sense of adventure; sometimes breaking rules to go out in search of something new and interesting to learn about. She's been caught watching her prey without bothering to really hunt it, and keeping a dangerously close eye to spy on the more predator like animals. Her hyperactive streak with no personal worries of getting injured led most to believe that her meddling with them is dangerous; that she's just a 'crazy eccentric', when really she's just easily excited and a bit emotional.
Harrier isn't the neatest cat; she actually tends to leave a bit of a mess. She moves around in her sleep, and tends to slack off in cleaning it until it's time to go to sleep again. She also has a messy habit of waiting nearly half the week to bother cleaning her pelt - though there have been times she's so busy that it's put off another day or two.
Even with the lack of her own personal safety, she often takes on an almost motherly role when it comes to the care of her friends and clanmates. She wants to ensure their safety and would easily put herself in danger so long as she could get them out of the line of fire. She takes threats to the heart; and follows through with her own. If you try and intimidate her or someone she cares about, she'll deal with you herself and make sure it doesn't happen again; Hell hath no fury like a she-cat's anger. The Knight is very agile and skilled in her training of fighting and defense; she really isn't a force to reckon with, but she starts to get a bit doubtful of herself from time to time due to the fact she feels rather bad about hurting others who really are just doing the same as her: following orders. She knows that not every cat wants to go to war after all. Then there are times she can pick out the eager-killers, and she becomes afraid of herself at times when she spots them; Harrierbeat becomes a machine of defense, and has taken a few lives trying to rid the world of the cold blooded murderers.
She has an amazing eye for detail; her observations are rather accurate and amazing, and she's quick with tactic skills and deduction. She's just rather hard to take seriously due to the amount of excitement that turns up when she starts talking about what she's learned. That doesn't mean she can't be serious when trying to make her point clear.
Due to the fact she often has broken a rule here or there, or gone against orders, it's assumed that she doesn't respect authority figures often and undermines them. However, she actually cares very much about what someone above her has to say; and while she seeks the approval of being a good warrior she also believes that sometimes a good warrior must take actions into their own hands. It may lead to some hesitation on the battlefield, but she has always been stubborn and rash - a trait she has gotten from her mother - so she puts up a good fight.
This doesn't mean she is cold, this doesn't mean she doesn't love and doesn't trust. She becomes what she must be to protect those she loves, and she fights for those she trusts. That's what it all means to her. What she finds amazing about herself is that she doesn't hate anything but the conniving murderer. When faced with one who is selfish, closed-minded, if they lie to her, betray her, she will still dislike them - question them even to try and understand why, but she finds she does not hate them.
Another thing she has in common with her mother, is that Harrierbeat has found she wouldn't mind being alone. She has always found a thread to cling on to - Thurio, Bistre, Givingtree, or her mother. However, once Northskies was done being 'welcomed', she became another member of the clan; while Harrierbeat knows shes her mother she is also just another clan member. Once she is left alone to think, she finds life and thoughts on it the most reasonable. Though, in this state she is seen as rather short-tempered, not like being shaken from her thoughts. She claims that vengeance and violence is in her blood, ever since the birth of Whitestar and her cruelty.
She had grown to be very subtle, with minimal emotions showing. Even when she turned to catnip, clung to the thread of Louvre, and went through so much, she has found that while she may hold distrust in her heart for those who had betrayed her, she will always do what she can to mend a broken thread.
Much as she teaches to new mothers going through so much, she believes in the lives of innocence. Kits shouldn't be blamed on the wrong-doing of a parent, and thus she judges them solely on who they are; in this way she is a very open mother-figure, and has kept her heart open to anyone in need of her.

ULTIMATE FEAR:
Being lost; both in memory, in herself, and forgotten.
History:
Harrierbeat was born into a busy family; both her parents were aristocrats at the time, and frankly her siblings were hard to keep up with. She thought to herself that she could be a better everything, better than both parents, and all three siblings. The kit herself just wanted to explore things, learn things, but her siblings were all over the place playing to kit-games and fantasies. Finally, she made a friend of Givingkit Mortem, and the two were a good complement to each other; the Siamese tom was a little meek and gave into her adventurous ideas a lot. More often than not the two kits were watched over by a cougar named Interntwo - a tom that Harrierkit would hope forever to be her mentor.
However, after a quick visit gone wrong following Interntwo to RiverClan, and another after that as the two kits traveled to spy on the Elite and brought back to Ringbearer and Tigerroar by Grim himself, and a young tom named Bistre... Harrierkit wasn't given her trainee's position until a moon late.
By then, Givingpaw had disappeared from her life. Instead she befriended a tom named Harkness, who trained with her and Caracalnight every now and then. The fluffy she-cat became closer to her father, idolizing him as an interesting tom. It wasn't long before all three were taken from her - Harkness, Caracalnight, and Tigerroar slowly disappeared from her life. The only tom she thought she would allow into her life after that was Thurio.
The BloodClanner-scented tom had wiggled his way to her actually. She had hated Thurio at first, despite him offering to mentor her, and despite his patience and smile towards her. Finally, she caved, and she could admit to herself that she loved him. Despite the feelings being mutual, he said to wait until she was older.
"Older" came in a strange time. Harrierpaw's clan faced enemies left and right - The Elite, CryptClan, ScarClan, DarkClan, SunClan ... Raids, battles, and after moons of fighting by Thurio's side she couldn't do it anymore. Her parents, her siblings, and now her hope had left her. She admitted she was afraid; she realized it in the middle of a raid. Thurio helped her escape as DarkClanners started taking HawkClan cats, telling her to find help. What Harrierpaw did was find help, but in a far different way.
The she-cat went to The Elite. The manor-living cats hadn't come to attack HawkClan in awhile, and they had similar enemies raiding them both. She spotted Bistre, familiarity taking her by surprise as she caught up with the tom. Bistre took her to his grandfather Grim, who welcomed her to stay until it was safe to return to HawkClan. In fact, Bistre and his father Hatsheput spoke with Harrierpaw about making plans to help free HawkClan prisoners and to help show The Elite and HawkClan weren't to be messed with. It sounded like the two enemies were about to become close allies....
Almost another moon passed before Thurio came to the destroyed manor to search for Harrierpaw, finding the now blooming and mature she-cat with Bistre. The tom was defensive of her, but even Harrierpaw could already tell he had moved on from her. With bittersweet partings, Harrierpaw followed Thurio home. She was happy to see Ringbearer, and a few other familiar faces, but she felt heartbroken to realize she knew very few HawkClanners around. The Elite and HawkClan became close allies, despite their far distance. However, there was more hope at the end of the tunnel. After a few more days of getting used to life back in HawkClan, Harrierpaw saw a face she thought she'd never see again - Northskies.
The two were reunited. Not even a few weeks later, Harrierpaw got her full name, Harrierbeat. She became a member of the Marcavellio family, and shared a name with Thurio and Noirstar. She watched in horror as her mother fought a demonic spirit from within her, and learned the story of Whitestar. She gained an apprentice, and took on another name, for her mothers fighting spirits; Akuma.
It wasn't much too longer; a little over a moon of having her full name, Harrierbeat Akuma-Marcavellio heard Noirstar call for an Aristocrat running. She thought of her life, what she had seen and lived through... And she went for it.
She remembered the Latin Bistre had taught her, and took on Alae as her new last name.
After being caught cornering and threatening a crude and rude tiger cub she was put on trainee duties for a moon by Tumultdusk. Finding it an unfair punishment when they were just trying to get the cub to leave - in her point of view - the fluffy knight held a slight hostile feeling towards the general, and had been more and more constantly putting on an expressionless mask and monotone voice. Once the moon ended though, she seemed to have gone back to normal.
In a raid by she was jumped by Annie Leonheardt, and has kept up a huge rivalship since the battle was left unfinished. However, once after that in a ShadowClan raid she was jumped by Dias, with Bistre there to interfere. She became annoyed, and considered to be weary of both of them, unsure who to trust. Shortly after another raid happened, and Harrierbeat became intense of fighting Annie once more. She declared that vengeance has been in her blood since the birth of Whitestar, and that she will always hold her grudges until her blood falls.
Harrierbeat has a natural inquisitive nature, and has taken it upon herself to actually record - mentally - the changes in the clan, clan mates, powers, side-effects, and mutations. She also helped breed flowers for Hollyburst's flower crown shop, and to trade with ships. She had gained more friends since, and is struggling to understand her nature and feelings shifting towards polyamory, finding she still has feelings for Bistre.
After Pollux took reign, destroyed her rank as a Strategist, and had the clan question her loyalty, Harrierbeat and Oldglory somehow drifted apart, and Harrierbeat looked for a way out of her depression. She went to friends for memory adjustments, much to Louvreart's disapproval, and had some of her memories pulled or locked away. These resulted in painful headaches, and so in turn she turned to catnip to result the pain.
While in her catnip trips, Harrierbeat would take walks, and find herself in the areas safe to walk towards the meetings. During one of these walks after a meeting, she ran into Bistre, and the two started doing catnip together to both lesson the pains their clans brought them, and to reconnect. Naturally, the two got caught; and despite the arguments they continued to meet.
After Pollux drew the attention of kits and started manipulating them, she started worrying, and slowly pulled away from others who were against Pollux's leadership, fearing the chief may take it out on kits. She turned introverted, and stayed distant to most of her friends. However, after two very important Marcavellio family meetings, she started to open up again, having branches to reach out to for help and trust. She went back to teaching and studying powers as a result of her good personality returning, and raising young wild birds.
The clan was raided by The Insignia, and thrown out of their home. Before the move, Harrierbeat and Quarternote went to retrieve Sawney and the hawk eggs. A day later at their new home on the island, Sawney died from all the pain he was in, and the eggs hatched.
Glorystar took a short break from leadership, Genevieve became the leader short-term, and Harrierbeat her deputy until Glory's return. The she-cat had been looking over Saltedpup, and tying to re-connect properly to her clan to become closer. However, she had been starting to feel rather ill, hearing voices in her head and seeing a strange unfamiliar she-cat in her dreams and taunting her when she lets her guard down.
She left for some time to clear her head, and upon return found a wrathful alcoholic leader. She did her best to work under Crackedstar as her deputy, but was kept in the dark like anyone who worked under Glorystar. After more of Glorystar's clan harshness and favoritism showed, The Council of Stars came and demoted him. In his rage, Oldglory drank himself to death. Crackedstar promoted Harrierbeat to her deputy, and when she died of cancer, she became Harrierstar.
Harrierstar went to seek out The Elite, remembering the dark smoke tom she had started feeling things towards as a young trainee. She came upon them to see Bistre was leading The Elite himself! The two were both in love, and decided on a wedding - both to permanently ally their clans, and to show their true love to each other. Every cool season Harrierstar and a caravan go with her to visit The Elite, and The Elite visit in the warm season.
