WHO ARE WE?
This question isn't simple to answer. You see, they're new. How is there so much history behind them then?
They're GHOST and THE HAUNTINGS come together.
Well, who are they?
The Hauntings
Many moons ago, a tom named Crowscar left WindClan with his mate Sparrowwing to flee from the leaders rule. Crow and Sparrow created a new home of their own in a large abandoned two-leg home, creating a new rogue group of their own called The Hauntings.
It was successful for moons, cats coming under Crow's rule and word. Unfortunately, after Sparrow's prediction of powerful kits the two cats became on edge, looking for these 'traitorous kits'. When they saw Moonshade bring a pregnant Felicity to the home, they killed her daughter, and took her son away from her. The father created an uprising and forced the Hauntings to fall.
Crow and Sparrow just barely escaped with Hawk, Felicity and Moonshade's son. They took him in and raised him as their own as rogues in the Two-Leg Park. After meeting with Desertstorm, a GHOST leader, Crow and Sparrow made allies with GHOST and decided to start anew and re-create The Hauntings.
Together the cats are gathering other rogues to help them stay out of the pound, assist GHOST, over throw smaller clans, and protect each other from threats.
GHOST
GHOSTS was a secret organization 'clan' created and 'led' by Desertstorm. While their goals are a mystery to anyone on the outside; they're known for being cunning and violent 'terrorists' who seem to profit from conflicts they get involved in. They have many allies in different clans and areas.
They gain and exchange territory and prey; under the figurehead's command they even work as assassins. While more cats work independently and may not even live with the 'official' group, they all know better than to displease the high powers.

So What Happened?
So what happened for these allies to come together? It's not a pretty story. After a huge dilemma going on inside GHOST, Midnights omens came true. The building that the street cats lived in fell, two-legs destroying them and bringing them to the ground. With her pride hurt, Desertstorm led her surviving troops to The Hauntings to seek refuge.
What she didn't know was Crow had ticked off Desertstoms allies in RadicalClan, and the matriarchy took down the patriarchy that Crow led, holding him captive and wrecking The Hauntings Home.
Coming to her allies aid, Desertstorm got Crow back at the cost of GHOST's alliance with RadicalClan. However, with the church destroyed, and the buildings tore down, neither group had a home, and set out together to find a place to live.
What The Haunting members didn't know, is that though Desertstorm saving their Grand Seer cost them an ally, his freedom came with a price. She would take Crows members. He begged to have her not make it obvious, so the clans were told that they were no longer allies, but a single joint clan.
TERRITORY
Desertstorm led her gang of misfit cats far enough from two-legs to an abandoned tourist attraction that doesn't get much hype, and the forest is over grown there. However, there are enough visitors that the clans have completely left the area alone.
A vast overgrown forest.
This spring is located right outside camp, an easy travel for everyone.
Where cats are put on guard, or cats are met to join, etc.
Where the Deputy, Guards, Warriors, Apprentices, and Kits sleep and all members eat.
This is where the announcements to the group are made, at the far end of camp.
This archway is in the back of camp behind leaves and bushes where most cats wont find it. Only the Deputy and Guards know where it is (besides the medicine cats and the leader).
This is where the Leader, Prisoners, and the Medicine Cats sleep at night. The prisoners are tortured here as well.
This is where the counsel members hold meetings.
This is where members can go to pray to the ancestors.

GHOST
Merit was a young kit when a tom named Drift took her in. Born from two escaped members from The Hauntings, and abandoned by the two rogues, the she-cat learned from the tom how to be a killer, taking part in hunts and murders for prey, shelter, and territory as she learned under Drift. Down the line, she learned about the Clan Cats, and changed her name to Desertstorm to match a warrior's name.
As she grew older, Drift and Desertstorm ran into a younger she-cat in the streets, taking her in too to learn as Desertstorm, and he named her Merit too. Desertstorm grew more independent, and learned that she couldn't function the same in society, she was a cold blooded killer. Drift had completely changed her.
The she-cat went after Drift and Merit, making friends with rogues left and right, and she slaughtered Drift for turning her into a monster. She let Merit go, trying to free the younger she-cat from becoming like her. Instead she gave Merit a reason to come after her for revenge.
She got closer to the rogues she had used to help her kill Drift, and created GHOST. She helped Crow re-create the Hauntings, and the two made more alliances in two-leg place to create a monopoly.
However, as they were out recruiting members for GHOST, Desertstorm lost Trace, and then Swiftstrike and Silhouette. Fear of being targeted by The Silhouette Fighters, the kidnappers, Desertstorm assigned Sparkcloud as the leading rank above her, a figure head, much to the GHOST members displeasure. Feardsoul returned to camp just in time to hear the bad news, but reported with Ling that he found Merit's bandana, handing it over to Desertstorm. The silver she-cat left the camp in Sparkcloud's care to journey on her own to meet with Merit.
Wanting to prove herself, Ling took the opportunity to lead a group of Assassins to attack the ShadowClan deputy Rookfeather. The attack failed, and the group returned injured. Sparkcloud started an attack on The Silhouette Fighters to retrieve Swiftstrike and Silhouette, not realizing how many members were injured. Fearedsoul promised that they would rendezvous with them before they got to enemy camp, but told the enemy they were low in numbers and were attacked before getting there.
Desertstorm returned to the lost battle with Merit, physically and mentally unwell - double her irritation. The camp is in shambles from both lost battles, and infuriated she demoted Sparkcoud and Ling for their stupidity. She took the leader position once more and took Taidron and Summersolstice with her, along with Midnight, to clear things up to get their members back.
She makes it clear the entire gang that she trusts no one besides Midnight, mostly because Desertstorm is also superficial and worries about the omens Midnight has been predicting - that and Midnight knows of her and Merits bond.
Desertstorm leads GHOST to TSF territory, and GHOST regain Swiftstrike and Silhouette back, and afterwards declares a master hunt for the members that have fled at the thought of a war.
Swiftstrike is brought back to his Council position, and tells Desertstorm that he'd seen Fearedsoul in the TSF camp, treated as an ally. When he came into question he defends himself, and helps make TSF their allies, an alliance of 'fear' similar to a cold war to prevent any more death.
After it's build, RadicalClan passed through GHOST territory, and a second "Cold War Alliance" is made, The Femmes joining in a trio alliance - so long as no one attacks each other, there would be no war.

She led them to the ruins far from most two-legs and clan areas.
After finding that her way of leading wasn't working, Desertstorm broke the entire clan to spy in neighboring clans for a moon. She made a few allies, but Crowscar was killed in the process. She promoted his son, Hawkflight, to her co-leader, and the two started to wage war on past enemies. However, Hawkflight was killed by a member of The Marcavellio Family during a fight, and she started war on the HawkClan family Marcavellio. She promoted Blackevening to her co-leader.
However, this didn't last long. After reign of fear started to faulter, Darkspades found himself rather bored with Desertstorm's simple form of ruling. With Fearedsoul's help, Spades got inside her head and used her fears against her. He created illusions of Merit to taunt her, along with dreams of Drift to scare her. He would assault her mentally by taking lead in making alliances and such without her. In time, he not only knocked Blackevening down from co-leader, but managed to chase Desetstorm out of the group completely, and took over himself. Not wanting Fearedsoul to ever reveal the truth, he banished the tom too.

RANKS & LAWS
KING/QUEEN: The leader(s) of this clowder. They lead the loyal family (which includes their married partner, their children (known then as princess/prince), and if they so wish their parents and siblings). All the decisions they make are final, and cannot be questions. However, leadership must be earned and worked hard for; it takes a mental and physical strength. When a monarch shows they are unfit, they may be taken out, their royal family removed from leadership, and become nothing more than a memory. High Power.
Heir: Chosen by the Monarch and dubbed a member of the royal family and next in line to lead if they are brought up properly and are of age before the Monarch dies. If they are not of age, or the Monarch is put out of power by force - along with the rest of the royal family - then the heir does not inherit leadership. They are often chosen at a younger age. Semi-High Power.
Archduke: Someone elected by the rest of the group to take over if an heir is not of age, if the royal family should fall, or if an heir is not chosen yet. They are also in charge of helping advise the Monarch, and are in charge of the Council. They are basically deputies. High Power.
Viscount: The viscount is elected by The Council and the Monarch to assist the Archduke. He lives among the rest of The Glaring and assists in figuring out smaller every day problems. Similar to an Assistant Deputy. Semi-High Power.
The Guard: These cats have earned the whole Glarings trust, are often put in power by a mix of the Glaring as a whole, Oracles, and the Monarch. They are entrusted to protect the clan as a whole, be spectators of fights, and escort the leader to gatherings or new joiners to the leader. Semi-High Power.
Oracles: The oracle is one who can speak to the dead and see signs and omens in both their dreams and every day life. They are trusted by the whole group, and can only be put out of power if the whole Council decides its best. High Power.
Oracles in Training: These are young cats learning to be oracles; they are often picked by signs and dreams at young ages by the oracles themselves. Semi-High Power.
All the positions stated above make up The Council.
Knights: Members who have been trained and are old enough to be expected to go into battle.
Squires: Members who are over the age of four moons and are taught by Knights who to fight, hunt, and do all the things that will qualify them as a Knight one day.
Maidens: Females who are pregnant or nursing, put off of active duty to care for their kits.
Wisemen: Old, or injured and retired members.
Prisoners: Prisoners of war from enemies. There aren't many, but The Glaring would rather have enemies killed than kept alive. However, there are ceremonies - like the one to become a Guard - that involve capturing, torturing, and killing an enemy. However, if there is a prisoner taken in under ten moons old, a prisoner who is too weak to survive, or a cat who is brought in who may change their allegiance, they become similar to a slave and brought on missions to test their alliance. If they prove untrustworthy, they are sacrificed to the front lines of a battle.
✔ Obey the Monarch, and the council members below them.
✔ Any concerns related to the group must be brought up with the Council Members.
✔ Those who abuse any other member, whether that be fighting, rape, stealing, or otherwise, will be inflicted a punishment that the group sees fit.
✔ Those who flee from a fight in an act of cowardice will be inflicted a punishment that the group sees fit. HOWEVER, if said person is a liability in a fight, then it is wise to stay back.
✔ Anyone who has the misfortune to be harmed permanently in battle shall be treated with respect and held at a high honor.
✔ Everyone shall be treated with medicine and be given a night's rest when needed. Travelers will have a guard stationed with them at all times.
✔ No fighting within the camp grounds. Any sparring matches or argument settlements must be settled outside the camp wall; every fight must have witnesses and a guard to declare the winner(s).
✔ Attend meetings.
✔ If a life is declared no longer valuable, and someone is deemed worth killing the one who declared it must do the beheading. To do so otherwise is deemed cowardly.
✔ Defend your home, even with your life. You may only have friendships with cats in other clans, but must remain loyal.
✔ Do not hunt or trespass on any clan's territory.
✔ Prey is killed only to be eaten.
✔ Maidens, Wisemen, and Kits must be fed first.
✔ If a trespasser from another clan is found in the territory, they are held as a captive until their clanmate comes to retrieve them. This is to teach them a lesson, not to torture them.
✔ Do not start OOC drama.
✔ Keep cursing to a minimum.
✔ No graphic mating/kitting scenes (fade in and fade out please!)
✔ No power playing.
✔ Be realistic with the fur colors and names.
✔ You must buy your power to use them.
✔ If you have high positions, please be active or you will lose it.
✔ All other Site Rules are applied.
✔ Use proper spelling and grammar, and full sentences.
✔ No excessive use of the CAPSLOCK.
✔ This is a semi-literate group, please no less than four sentences on average.
✔ No OOC posts on Roleplaying threads, always have something in character with any ooc information you feel you must add; if you have a question and it cannot wait, PM me.
✔ If you're going to be inactive for a little while or you wish to leave, let me know.
✔ If you break one rule, you'll get a warning.
✔ If you break rules after the warning, you'll be exiled.
✔ By responding to this you are accepting all the rules that have been stated and are about to be stated.
✔ Do not bump unless there are no responses for a whole week; each member has their own activity levels. Also do not PM members or write on their camps unless need be - asking someone to respond to something can be seen as rude, spamming, and impolite.
✔ Last but not least, have fun!
CEREMONIES & TRADITIONS
Desertstorm had allowed freedom of religion; she cared not much for the afterlife, and cared mostly for the now. Members are free to believe or not believe in any deity they want. She had allowed preaching about 'The Ancestors', and has learned about Daemons.
However, once Spades took control he has enforced the belief in The Ancestors; he does allow others to worship what they want, however he himself does not want to see it.
The Ancestors are much like StarClan, except they have a hint of voodoo - curses, magic, witchcraft, and devilworship are all involved. That and they're not clear looking cats - the evil ones are twisted and warped with wounds or large demonic shapes.
The daemons rarely remember their past lives, and are able to claim souls and reincarnate. Each represents a heavenly virtue or deadly sin. The create havoc or grant good luck.
-StarClan; dead cats who look out for good cats.
-NightClan; dead cats who look out for evil cats.
-The Dark Forest; a place where evil dead cats go.
-R'hllor; The Lord of Light who will smite the wicked who choose to walk in Shadows.
-The Seven:
The Father: represents divine justice, and judges the souls of the dead.
The Mother: represents mercy, peace, fertility, and childbirth. She is sometimes referred to as "the strength of women".
The Maiden: represents purity, love, and beauty.
The Crone: represents wisdom and foresight. She is represented carrying a lantern.
The Warrior: represents strength and courage in battle.
The Smith: represents creation and craftsmanship.
The Stranger: The Stranger represents death and the unknown. It is rarely prayed to.
-The Drowned God
The belief system of the Drowned God justifies a way of life of piracy and raiding. Followers of the Drowned God believe he brought flame from the sea and that he created the ironborn to reave, raid, and pillage.
-The Old Gods
The Old Gods of the Forest are a collection of innumerable and unnamed spirits of nature.
-God of Death
Referred to as the "Many-Faced God", or "Him of Many Faces". Worshipers believe he is unknowingly worshiped by most faiths but under different names.
Mating and relationships are common, and Oracles can do Marriage Ceremonies. They do go out to trade once in awhile with other clans - items, favors, secrets, etc. However, their communication is low with other clans unless necessary.
When it comes to it, they're defined as Pro-Clan beliefs with Anti-Clan tactics, so they're actually neutral.
Since most members were previously assassins, they rely on stealth and surprise more than anything. They attack when least expected. They are perfect at ambushes, and trapping their opponents where they can't get away and attack. They usually wait for their enemy to get lost before jumping them.
However, due to their 'clan-like' heritage Desertstorm insisted upon them, they have learned many battle and defense moves that the clans know.
★CEREMONIES
Much like the Clans, Spades holds Kit-to-Apprentice and Apprentice-to-Warrior ceremonies. He insists the 'kit', 'paw' and warrior-like names, but wont change names until they've deserved them, no matter their age.
At eight moons, in the middle of training, an apprentice is taken outside camp to the border of the territory, and left there alone. They are not supposed to be shown the territory beforehand. They must survive for two days and make it back to camp before the end of the week. The young ones will be tested on the skills they're taught in camp, like hunt and fight. Once they make it back, they will either be judged on their skill, and either made a Guard's apprentice, or continue training with their Warrior mentor. Should they make it to a Guards Apprentice, they must do a second challenge before they can become a full Guard - which is to kidnap, torture, and kill a cat from an enemy clan.
There are three family's in The Glaring Spirits -
Desertstorm also created the Phasma family, and only passes the name on to blood related members. There is no way to become a Phasma, for it's not even given to married partners, just blood and kits. (However, if anyone from WCRPG comes over with a Phasma kit, they can be played here as a member of the FORMER royal family.) The same goes for anyone apart of the Adelløve Family.
Darkspades is head of the Caligo family, and likes to keep morals up. In this way, he offers to share his family name to those who are loyal and brave.
JOINING THE CREW
So you're the newbie everyone's talking about? Well that's easy.
Welcome, come inside!
✔ Are The Glaring Spirits ProClan or AntiClan? We are Neutral, we have no expectant religion nor alliances.
✔How can I have a major plot? You can PM myself, or post in the plotting thread.
✔ Can _____ become Allies or be Neutral with The Glaring Spirits? Sure thing, just make a thread sending a representative, and invite me to it. We'll talk ICly there.
✔Can any animal other than a dog or cat join? Of course! Birds, wildcats, wolves; so long as their body can support them in this cold weather.
✔ Can I have more than one character? Yes!
✔ Can I play in Liquid Time? Yes! Have your character in multiple threads; so long as you have a sense of timeline.
✔ What is Liquid Time? Liquid Time really is just you playing your cat in multiple threads at the same time with a sense of timeline, plot, and awareness. If you have more questions about this please PM me.
✔What is Semi-Advanced? By responding to this thread, you are confirming that you are a mature, literate roleplayer who knows how to use proper punctuation, isn't disruptive, and can read moods in roleplay situations.
✔ What is a Hunt? Hunts are usually executed for assassin missions. There is a lovely price put on a cat's corpse and the ones to bring that cat back - dead or alive - certainly gains something like a new rank, extra prey, territory; something that cat certainly wants.
✔What is Semi-Advanced? By responding to this thread, you are confirming that you are a mature, literate roleplayer who knows how to use proper punctuation, isn't disruptive, and can read moods in roleplay situations.
This means no:
'Hi! My name is ____, what's yours?' if the characters already in play are not in a friendly mood.
If you have no idea how to do this, please refer yourself to this thread:
warriorcatsrpg.com/index.php?topic=423378.0
Please know that if your post has anything less than four sentences on average, it will be ignored and you will have the change to change it to something more literate. We all do one-liner posts sometimes, but do not make it a common thing here.
Also, while everyone has the right to use offensive language, I will not allow posts with excessive profanity or CAPSLOCKS on my threads regardless of status and rank; as they are rude and inconsiderate. Not to mention, cats in the wild would not know foul words such as the ones you are used to using.
Thank you, and have a nice day! I look forward to roleplaying you guys! Oh, and don't forget to link your character(s) bio when you first jump in, it's not required but would be greatly appreciated. Thanks!
You doing okay so far? Excellent, you don't have to suffer through much more!
Just post a link to your bio! No position is just given out though, all ranks have to be earned IN CHARACTER. If you're someone coming from the other site with a TGS character, you do have a better shot - but for now lets just say Spades cleared the ranks.
